Fatemeh Dehghani, born in Tehran in 1996, is an Iranian musician, oud player and composer. She graduated from Tehran Music School where she completed her Oud studies, then obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Iranian traditional music from the University of Tehran (Faculty of Fine Arts). Negâr Bouban, Moaana Jehad, Mohammad Firoozi, Yurdal Tokcan were among her professors in Oud playing and she has learned The Radif of Iranian music from Dariush Talai and Dariush Pirniakan. Fatemeh Dehghani has composed a Trio album Oud, Kamancheh and Darbuka: "The Spirit Afar" (released in 2020). She is the composer, oud player, singer and arranger of the piece "The Waterfall flowing from your hair". Fatemeh has been invited to Expo2020dubai with her band (The Spirit Afar Trio) and has been playing Iranian classical music, folk music and her own pieces on the "Bowl stage, Earth Stage and Iran Pavilion" for 20 days. Fatemeh teaches Oud at Tehran Music School and Rangahang Music School. She has contributed an article entitled «Investigating the existing etudes for Oud in Iranian classical music» which had been published in Farahang Magazine. She is Oud player and singer of Liquorice song composed by Mücahit Kol, who plays Bağlama in Turkey.
