While the Bronx is better known for producing influential rappers like Cardi B and A-Boogie, Azi is offering a different point of view, emerging as one of the most versatile artists to ever come out of the borough. With an alternative pop sound that draws liberally from hip-hop, R&B, and alt-rock, Azi is out to show that indie music also has a place in his hometown. Azi first started playing music as a teenager, performing as a solo artist and playing guitar in several bands. He built an impressive viral following, racking up hundreds of thousands of views of his acoustic covers on YouTube. As he developed into a more mature artist, he began focusing more on writing his own songs. In 2018 he made his official debut with the single “Revenge.” With its dark atmosphere and genre-bending sound, it immediately found an audience, being streamed over 100K times on Spotify alone. Since then, Azi has been experimenting with his style and spending endless hours in the studio. In the spring of 2022, he released "4 AM" which shows him coming into his own as a truly individual artist, capable of emerging as one of the Bronx's finest talents.
