Because there are surprising, unexpected sounds and spheres that he can conjure up with his acoustic guitar (which you wouldn't expect from a single guitar). His performance is also an experience because it creates a rousing atmosphere that spreads from the ear canal to the brain and ultimately to the whole audience. His art should not only be seen as talent, but also as a mixture of passion and hard work. As a self-taught musician, he learned a lot from scratch on his own. He was influenced early on by guitar virtuosos such as John Butler and Andy McKee, but above all by Petteri Sariola and Mike Dawes, with whom he would later perform on stage himself. It is not only his musical intuition that is responsible for the creation of captivating sounds. His very special instrument - the acoustic guitar built especially for him by Andreas Cuntz - also plays a major role. Christian Lehr makes purely instrumental use of all the sound-generating possibilities of the guitar and its body, as well as a looper and other wacky effects. He performs as a solo artist and "percussive fingerstyle guitarist" for events of all kinds - from festivals and music fairs to special features such as playing with several choirs.
