Edwin Derico Jr. from Deerfield Beach, Florida cultivates versatility within his music giving listeners a refreshing sound. His pristine production ability makes his instrumentals stand out against heart thumping lyrics. As an adolescent, AKA “Barry Bands” was always involved in music whether it was singing in the church choir, playing the drums, recording music, making beats, or performing. Growing up he was heavily inspired by his father, Edwin Sr., and influenced by musical genres Gospel, Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Dance, and Alternative Rock. He began taking his craft more seriously as early as 2019 and since then has been moving to the beat of his own drum. While in college, Barry Bands partnered with a group known as “E.L.E.M.E.N.T.S.” who put on school concerts and toured from state to state. The venture would eventually lead to the band opening up for major acts such as Genuwine, Trina, Lyfe Jennings, and Carl Thomas just to name a few. The dedicated musician has steadily created a name for himself that ultimately defines his future success. His projects such as “I Do” and singles like “Never Wrong” represent Barry Bands’ cunning ability to transform as a solo artist who has only begun to reach his full potential.
