Dark staircases in the city of Bern in Switzerland that lead to high roofs and wide views. Perfectionism, procrastination and despair. Hope and vastness. All of this can be found in Sarah Villiger’s songs. The singer-songwriter writes her music in the attic of her apartment in Bern, where she immerses herself in a wide variety of styles: her voice is characterized by pop, jazz, soul and classical music. Her music is built on a pop and jazzy foundation - and paves the way to synth-pop, neo-soul, hip-hop and lofi. It plays with the contrasts of deep sounds and her bright voice. The whole culminates in a mix of analog retro synths and digital sounds - to be heard on the debut EP "Next Corner", which will be released on November 29, 2024. Sarah Villiger has already caught attention musically on several occasions in the past. For example, she has sung for film music composed by her brother Martin Villiger. This music could be heard on Swiss television, among others. She has new songs planned for 2025 that will put her multi-faceted voice center stage.
