Born in Montreal, Qc but raised in Chomedey,Laval. Rico Blox is an Mc/lyricist/Songwriter who's ability to write about his experiences and tell stories through his music as well as go bar for bar with some of the best Mc's Montreal has ever produced has garnered him attention on a national scale. This talented Mc has been nominated for breakthrough artist of the year and single of the year for his record It's All Good at the 2011 Montreal hiphop awards. Rico Blox also competed and was featured in Aux tv's Ultimate Mc battle challenge and documentary in 2011 which was broadcast on National tv. A product of the blog era , Rico's songs : Million Dollar Charm, Stop Frontin', Freedom and It's All Good have been featured on famous blogs such as : youheardthatnew , thesmokingsection , hiphopcanada.com, Nme , hotnewhiphop and many more. More recently a feature he did with fellow Montreal Mc Slik Jack called Armani Suit prod. by Statik Selektah was played by the legendary DJ Premier on headqcourterz radio! Rico has also opened shows for many legendary artists such as M.O.P ,DasEfx , D12 , Masta Ace , Big Krit & Smoke Dza , kurupt , Smif n Wessun and many more. After a 9yr hiatus from music , Rico Blox is back and ready to make a name for himself again and bring Montreal hiphop to the international stage and put his hometown of Laval/Montreal on the map!
