FIGI is the alias of Vijay Weemhoff, a composer and DJ from Amsterdam. Who discribes his own distinctive sound as a melting pot of inspiration he got from Electro, Detroit style Techno, (Italo/Space) Disco and Fusion Jazz. FIGI is signed on the renown record label Magnetron Music. His debut EP “2099” was distributed on vinyl across shops in Europe, Asia and the US. His forthcoming album “Fig. 1” is expected to be released in 2024. Since FIGI’s debut on Magnetron in 2022, the artist has released music on labels like Burning Fik as featuring artist on “Medicijntje” by Faberyayo and Zeldzame, LOCH INN for the compilation ‘V/A LOCH INN at De School’ and his own label Very Serious Records.
