Mount Shrine is an ambient/drone project of Cesar Alexandre, hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The project usually is characterized by its long and repetitive "low-end droning" tracks and "slow-motion song movements", incorporating lo-fi collages of field recordings, fainting tape hiss and vinyl crackle, and recurrent themes of abandoned urban places and lonely rainy nights. Initially recording and self-releasing various albums and EPs through his own Bandcamp since late 2017, Mount Shrine released his debut album through Cryo Chamber at July 2018, with Winter Restlessness and, on January 2019, he released its follow-up, Ghosts on Broken Pavement, through Cryo Chamber again.
