Marcos Quirino Deida Rivera, Mista Min’s name, had been born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Living there till the age of 5, his family had decided in the early 90's to move to Southern Florida. At the fragile age of 6, not even after being one year in America, the boys father had passed away leaving their family to enter a troubled portion of life, causing Marcos to follow a path of violence, drugs and eventually crime. During his childhood and teenage years his family had been constantly on the move hardly living in any neighborhood for longer than a year. At the age of 14 he had relocated to central Texas, where he had begun practicing improvisational rap. After a short odyssey to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mista Min honing his craft had made the decision to be a rapper. Nonetheless, the violence in Philadelphia neighborhoods had caused this 15 year old, not so "fresh prince", to move back to central Texas. In Austin, TX, is where he had spent the rest of his youth, making his first beats and rapping with a hip hop collective concept7, a group of esteemed individuals that continue to write songs about their Christian faith, life and love. Since 2008 Mista Min has been living in Munich, Germany, hoping to share his faith, experiences and expand his musical horizon.
