17 year old, Lucas Martinez is an artist out of Shafter, California. Started rapping in early 2017 by recording with Apple EarBuds, releasing diss tracks on the app, “RapChat”. Later that same year, Lucas then stopped releasing disses on RapChat & moved his music to SoundCloud for the hope of making his music more heard & meaningful. On November 10th, 2017, Lucas released his first song on SoundCloud. The song was titled, “Mixed Emotions.” & it ended up getting a good amount of local buzz, by getting 2,000 views in the first week of it’s release. Then, is when Lucas realized he had something. By the end of 2018, Lucas had been working on his craft, put out two mixtapes, along with a collection of singles. By December 2018, Lucas had racked up over 1 million total streams on SoundCloud. In 2019, Lucas put out another two mixtapes, along with singles & features. By December 2019, Lucas racked up over 1.5 million total streams on SoundCloud. Beginning 2020, Lucas has been releasing singles & features. On April 30th, 2020, Lucas released his 5th mixtape on SoundCloud titled, “Difference”. It is now available on all streaming platforms! • It has now been over a year since an update, but Lucas is now in the process of sharing this new wave to the world & new sounds. “I’m just tryna do what everybody isn’t doing around me you know? I had to take a break for my mental health, but I’m back & don’t you ever forget me” Says Lucas. We can’t wait to hear and see what’s in store for him!
