Andrés Felipe Quintero, also known as Avine, is a Colombian DJ and producer born in the city of Medellín in 2001. Andrés ventured into electronic music in 2014, influenced by his group of friends from school and the rising popularity of electronic music in Colombia at that time. He began under the pseudonym Dreadlight, creating his first tracks and developing his style inspired by prominent figures in the genre such as Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Tiesto, Oliver Heldens, among many others. In 2017, due to issues related to his artistic name, Andrés decided to change it to Avine, using a play on letters from his name and paying homage to his surname "Vahos", by which he is mostly known to his friends and acquaintances. Following this change, Avine launched himself as an independent artist on the Diskover record label in 2019. Shortly after, in 2022, he began learning about DJing with Dondo, a prominent teacher and one of the leading figures in the Colombian electronic music scene. From this experience, Avine has established a significant style in all his tracks, with house music emerging as his predominant genre. Currently, Avine has signed with different record labels such as Regroup Records, Euphoric Echo Records, and Late Hours Music.
