Suburbs is a rockband from Scheveningen as of 1995. The band has its roots in the eighties and nineties and plays indie rock music. National exposure was achieved in the late nineties when the band won the national contest "De grote Prijs van Nederland" ("The Big Price of The Netherlands"). 
 As of the summer of 2013 Suburbs has started a new chapter. Leadsinger Arie Spaans and 2 early band member gitarists in combination with the drummer make the "old sound" come alive again. In 2014 the video clip "Playing with old toys" was published on Youtube. The single "Save the World" including a video clip, has been released in July 2015. In maart 2016 our new mini EP "Masters" (part 1) has been released including our clip "Staring at the face of God". In the Fall of 2017 a new mini EP "Paralyzed" (part 2) has been released. The titel track "Paralyzed" is accompanied with a clip on Youtube. In May 2018, for the first time in history Suburbs has released a song in dutch "de Zang van de Zee". The song is a tribute to our roots. In 2019 the english version and 7 other tracks have been published on the album "Sound of the Sea". The track “Resolution” has been released January 2021 and made it to #1 in the Dutch Indie charts
