Like a guide in the middle of the history of vocal music, ilinx point into the future and to the past at the same time. With references to both medieval church music and the R'n'B divas of the 2000's ilinx create a distinctive space in which the human voice is at the center. ilinx consist of Anna Sophie Mæhl, Laura Marie Madsen and Amanda Appel, who, despite their vastly different musical backgrounds and practices, merge into a pulsating unity of vocals. The foundation of the group's work is a belief in the healing and preserving power of the voice, which, due to its bodily starting point, has an almost magical ability to create connections between people.
