Anders Teglund is a Swedish pianist and composer.
Teglund was a member of the bands Cult Of Luna, Convoj and as a musician with Mattias Alkberg, but has lately only focused on his solo piano works. He has released five albums since his solo debut in 2019.
Teglund is writing his music quite biographically, even though it’s instrumental. The music ideas take off from an everyday situation. His earlier albums – Björkris I and Björkris II – is piano music about life in an apartment, with a social realistic ethos, and was recorded at his home.
His third album Vissa somnar helt is an album about the zone between sleep and awakened state of mind. The music has evolved in close contact with his audience, since he has toured with living room concerts. At these concerts, people fell asleep – or almost fell asleep – which was the embryo for the album.
With the album Restriktioner he is exploring limitations and abilities. He gave himself one strict rule: The whole album should contain one hand piano songs only. And on the following album Rekommendationer he invited eight pianists to do one handed duets: Anna von Hausswolff, Iiris Viljanen, Martin Hederos, Matti Bye, Pontus Winnberg, Isabell Gustafsson-Ny, Maria Arnqvist (from the duo Siri Karlsson) and Klabbe Hörngren (from Klabbes Bank).
