Yasas Medagedara – With the gifted knowledge of his father blended with his inborn talents for music, Yasas started his music career in 2008 as a music composer then as a singer. Currently in the music industry he’s well known as a music director, audio engineer, music composer and a singer with a calming and a melodious voice. His first hit ‘Sansarini’ was released in 2019 which touched and attracted many hearts of the audience which truly became a sensational hit. Yasas had the opportunity to compose for the legendary artists in Sri Lankan Bathiya and Santhush with popular hits Roo Sara, Sewwandi Paya, Asha Mada and Wasanthe Pura. And Yasas received an award for the most popular song of the year for ‘Sewwandi Paya’ in 2023 at Derana Lux film awards ceremony. Yasas Medagedara stepped into Sri Lankan Film industry with Adaraneeya Prarthana which became a greatest box office hit of all the time. Not only as the Music Director but also as a main male vocalist with his enchanting voice. Yasas has his own in-house music studio ‘Midhouse Studios’. He is also one of the leading performing artist in Nadagama ‘Handiya’ concert series. Yasas has composed many more famous hits for leading artists in Sri Lanka such as Randhir Vithana, Dinesh Gamage, Supun Perera. Sansarini, Sandanari, Sharadha, Kailashini, Therunado Visal Adare, Numbe As, Senehas Aware, Sewwandi Paya, Roo Sara, Mala kada kada, Madhurabani, Sepalikawo are some of his famous hits.
