Tanja Zapolski is a modern classical pianist astounding audiences in Denmark and abroad with solo recitals, piano concertos, chamber music with some of the world's best musicians, and new forms of cross-genre expression. Tanja has performed as soloist with The Danish National Radio Orchestra, Copenhagen Philharmonic, The Danish National Chamber Orchestra, Münchener Chamber orchestra, as well as Oslo, Helsingborg, Odense and Århus Symphony Orchestras. She performed Hans Abrahamsen's Concerto for Piano and Violin with the Royal Danish Orchestra under the baton of world-famous conductor Sir Simon Rattle. She travelled the world both as a soloist and with her many extraordinary music groups. Her quartet Opus X, has performed in biggest concert halls in Japan, USA, Austria, Turkey, England. She performs lots of fiery music by argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla with her Piazzolla Orchestra. She performs many concerts with her "Danish Piano Duo". Tanja has also gained distinction for her openness and curiosity concerning new methods of creating experiences in classical music, using her playful and experimental approach. Tanja performed together with the world famous composer Philip Glass in his portrait concert, where they together performed his Etudes at Aarhus European Culture Capital City 2017.
