With her unique sound and attitude, Emily Karpel crafts disco-punk-pop songs, sunny electronica, post-punk ballades and pinewood electro folk - with 2 critically acclaimed studio albums NEMASHIM" (2008) and - “II” (2012), and joint ventures with Air , GABRIEL STEBBING aka Night Works / EX Metronomy ,Klangkarussell , EDU-K And Tiefschwarz . Collaboration with Assaf Amdursky , Metropolin , Reines Girls , Noam Rotem , Eldad Zitrin and recently last year with Known Shaz , ELK , Guy Moses. Emily Karpel ,Singer, songwriter, musician, producer, born in Montreal, Canada, moved to Israel when she was three. She grew up in a music-oriented family and started writing, composing, and performing from a young age. Her professional career started at the age of 15 as a member of a band and dance company. At 20 Emily became the backing vocalist/guitarist of Israel's famous female Solo Diva pop Rock Artist Riki Gal . Later she collaborated with NOMO HEROES in a remake/remix for the French duo Air "SURFING ON A ROCKET - it was globally released at 2004 (VIRGIN/EMI). At 2005, Emily joined Metropolin "s debut album - singing the song Toch Daka, and touring with the band for 8 month's throughout Israel. 2006-2007 Emily wrote and recorded her acclaimed Debut Album נמשים / NEMASHIM (Freckles ) released 2008 - with the classic hits TIPA, NEMASHIM and HUTZ MIMCHA on heavy airplay - Emily brought a never before fresh indie pop vibe, a lively exuberance into the Israeli pop mainstream.
