J Blacco is a Producer and sometimes rapper currently based in Miami, FL but originally hails from Fayetteville, NC. Although he considers both Carolinas as home after spending his high school years in Sumter, SC. Blacco's production career began in the early 2000's as part of the Raleigh/Durham based group Classic Squad. The crew made noise on the underground circuit during the MySpace era releasing multiple mixtapes until going their separate ways in 06. In 07, thru networking on MySpace, Blacco began building connections and linked up with who would become his extended musical family. Lost FirstBorne, Dre Rock, spoken word artist Kiyoko, Nate Turner, and mentor Draft Drumz would all become frequent collaborators and form an informal collective. Bonds which still remain influential to this day.
