Biography

Angela Dimitriou is one of the most popular, commercial and beloved Greek singers. Her albums’ sales in Greece and abroad count more than 4 million copies, while her songs are always among the top of the charts. She made her first live performance in 1968. The legendary Vassilis Tsitsanis was the man who believed in her great talent. She recorded her first album in 1978, while her third album, entitled “Giati Na Rtheis Arga”, released in 1980, was the one that launched her fame. She has made more than 39 platinum and gold records, some of which have been very successful abroad where they also went platinum. She is also famous in the Arab countries across the Middle East, with her song "Margarites" hitting the top of the charts in Lebanon,Turkey and Israel and she made 2 songs with the Egyptian singer Amr Diab called "Ana Bahebak Aktar" & "Eleos". In addition, in 2016 she was honored with the BIAF International Beirut Award. Currently, she has signed a contract with Panik Records music label in Greece.
