Merty Shango is an artist and ghostwriter from Jamaica Queens, New York. Born in a family of artists, Shango grew an interest in music at a very young age. Growing a huge passion for Hip-Hop, he studied the Art form and practiced to join Rap battles corners in NYC. He began writing song lyrics, challenging himself everyday. The very next week, Merty took a courageous leap : He pointed randomly a city on a map and booked a one-way ticket to a new destination : Shanghai. In China, he began booking shows and festivals, performing live in front of crowds for the first time. Next, he moved to Europe to increase his inspirations, and finally went back to NYC, where it all began.
