In the summer of 2019, Dan, Justin, & Kyle transformed a friendship of 15+ years into the synthwave/post-punk trio known today as A Dollar Underwater. Their sound explores a plethora of electronic soundscapes, while simultaneously staying grounded in the pop and punk sensibilities of their foundational upbringing. A Dollar Underwater's catalogue of songs showcases their diverse approach to storytelling through songwriting, along with their steadfast ambition heading into the future. In September of 2021, they released their first album, "Hereafter", which explores the ideas of death, the afterlife, identity, and the transformation of self. Dark in tone, while harboring synth-pop catchiness at the same time, the album is sure to possess something that can appeal to anyone that pushes play.
