Diederik van der Laag (1991) was born and raised in Utrecht, the Netherlands. As a kid, he was surrounded by his dads records of Paul Young and his moms infinite passion for baroque. After picking up the guitar, drums, piano and vocals Diederik started writing his first pieces as a teenager. Fast forward to 2015. His first choral piece [miks ma ei tapa ennast] got performed and Diederik decides to dedicate himself to vocal music. His mission: innovating choral music in a way that's both relevant as heartfelt. In other words exploring new harmonic landscapes while doing that which vocal music does best: facilitating communal experiences of awareness.
