Born and raised in the small town of Mission, just outside of Vancouver, Canada, and inspired by many local rappers, King Matty spent most of his time as a young teen writing and recording lyrics of his own. This soon became a dream of his and King Matty linked up with producer Mike Tone for his 2009 debut album, "Welcome 2 Tha Streetz" with features from San Quinn, Merkules and others. As time passed with little money and little choice, Matty turned to the drug industry, and after being arrested, he knew there was no choice but to change his life for the better. Matty returned in 2023 with his 2nd album "FIRE," and is currently working on his 3rd album "Libra" dropping in 2024 featuring Krizz Kaliko and others. It didn't take long before Matty was performing in local clubs and opening for big shows in the Vancouver area. Now he's on a mission to spread his voice worldwide!
