Jo Lily and Bobby B. Keyes share a decades-long musical partnership rooted in artistry and friendship. Known for their dynamic blend of roots, blues, and Americana, The Mystix have earned a reputation as a band of exceptional talent and authenticity. Jo Lily, first known as Sam Deluxe of Duke and The Drivers, brings his songwriting and vocal prowess to the group. Bobby B. Keyes, a virtuoso guitarist with a storied career in Boston, New York, and Los Angeles, adds his jazz finesse and studio expertise. Their partnership began in a Boston jazz club over 20 years ago and has defined The Mystix’s sound. A brotherhood of world-class musicians, including collaborators from Nashville, Los Angeles, and Woodstock. They’ve worked with legends like Duke Levine, Jerry Portnoy, and members of Bob Dylan’s and Robert Plant’s bands. Their performances honor American roots music, blending heartfelt storytelling with masterful instrumentation. To mark their 20th anniversary, The Mystix will release their new album, Dream Girl, featuring the single "Things Ain’t What They Used to Be." This track showcases Larry Campbell on pedal steel, trading licks with Bobby Keyes. Produced by Tim Phillips and Keyes, it exudes groove and infectious energy.
