Vancouver-born artist and producer, JEYLADO, is a real noise maker with a voice that cuts between genres and a creative journey spanning over a decade. JEY was completely immersed in music from the age of 10, learning to sing and play guitar in addition to taking part in plays, musicals, bands, choirs, and the late group It Ends with Us. Enhancing his talents in late 2017 at Nimbus School of Recording & Media, JEYLADO began his solo career under the alias Ron Mvtthew and had the honour of studying under industry professionals during his 16-month curriculum. In early 2022 alongside partner PARK, he co-founded the collective STILL NYLON and navigated the scene, sharing stages with local artists. In late 2022, he underwent an unexpected rebranding. He changed his name from Ron Mvtthew to JEYLADO. A turning point was reached with the release of I HATE U, which received over 18,000 all-time streams. In March 2023, JEY’s dynamic musicality underwent further development mixing Pop, Asian R&B, Rap, Rock, and EDM influences which resulted in forming PHNTM CLUB, a duo with Soulace. A great moment of his solo career arrived in November 2023 when he was given the opportunity to be a guest artist for Zack Tabudlo, a testament to his growing influence. Since then, he has seamlessly woven together his passion for music, fashion, digital artwork, and collaborating with local talents (such as KurtTheViolinist, Gabe Austria, ysa, bore*, and GRAVEHEART).
