Genevieve is an artist and producer born in Edinburgh and based in South London. As a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, she explores themes of connection, queer desire and modern rage through songs that layer rich acoustic textures and synthesised elements, alongside a soulful honesty that's drawn comparisons to Fiona Apple, Feist and Sylvan Esso. Genevieve released her debut album, Letters I Won’t Send, recorded in a local church, in 2020. She was featured on Tom Robinson’s Mixtape, BBC Radio London, Jazz FM, and on Gideon Coe and Guy Garvey’s BBC Radio 6 Music shows. Building a loyal following on the alt-folk/jazz scene in London, she has been the recipient of several emerging artist awards, including Help Musicians and the Drake Yolanda fund, supporting her to independently release her second EP, 'What's Mine Is Yours', in 2023, a bold 5-track offering that explores our interconnectedness, loved by indie blogs Gold Flake Paint and For the Rabbits. In September of 2023 she steps out on her first headline UK tour with her full band, in partnership with 432 Presents. “See her and her band at any opportunity you get” Bittersweet Symphonies “I love it. I really, really love it.” Guy Garvey, BBC Radio 6 Music “Memorable and densely textured” Gideon Coe, BBC Radio 6 Music “Sounding this good on a debut single, should be, and quite possibly is, a crime against long-suffering musicians everywhere, not that we’re complaining.” For the Rabbits.
