Stewy von Wattenwyl is one of the most experienced Swiss Jazz pianists/composers. During his 35-year career as a professional musician, Stewy has worked with many of the most successful Swiss musicians, but also with some of the greats from the U.S. (Art Farmer, Clark Terry, Alvin Queen, Bobby Shew, Bob Mintzer, Johnny Griffin, Eric Alexander, Sandy Patton, Joan Faulkner, Dusko Goykovic, John Allred, Adrian Mears, Reggie Johnson...) and played at international festivals throughout Europe, USA and Africa. 2012 he won the Swiss Jazz Award together with vocalist Nicole Herzog. To date, he has released 18 CDs under his own name, many of them with his trios.
