Biography

“I never wanted to be famous, I simply wanted to change the world.” I remember hearing Jay Shrub make this profound statement during an interview in 2010; these words always resonated with me.
Here was a 33 year-old, musician (by night) and software developer (by day), putting out some of the most intriguing music of anyone in the Columbus, Ohio local music scene. Yet even back then, he shied away from the spotlight.
So many people wondered what happened to Shrub. Truth is, a recent two-year hiatus proved to be the ultimate low-point for Shrub. Everyone thought the music was dead. Everyone but Jay. The new album is incredible. Get back out there Jay. Dust off those cleats, get back in the game, and go change the world.
