Dstrakt is a young rap artist and producer located in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, whose name comes from a combination of his given name Dallyn and a play on the word ‘distract’. 
 A prolific songwriter, Dstrakt has been crafting original songs and performing live since 2018 and has released two albums, ‘This is Me’ and ‘Recess’ and many singles in that time. Early in his writing career, Dstrakt challenged himself to write, record and release over 100 singles, which was achieved in late 2019. He is proud of meeting the goal of practising and improving his original content, striving to keep the themes non-repetitive. Dstrakt describes his songs as modern and melodic combined with an old school hip hop sound. The songs feature strong storytelling and life experiences. 
 A breakdancer since the age of six, Dstrakt was introduced to the craft by his breakdancing uncles, who taught him a few moves, inspiring him to get interested and involved in the hip hop culture. Dstrakt has performed internationally over the years as a dancer and has a large following that is developing into a strong fan base for his music. Gradually, through the influence of the music he was dancing to, Dstrakt started experimenting with beats and eventually crafted his own tracks, self-producing and releasing several recordings. When the dance studio that Dstrakt had been training in for over 10 years closed down, he launched himself fully into a career in music and is working on new performances and releases.
