Long before awards, plaques, chart positions, and radio play, a few guys from Texas started using music to express their newfound faith. The early songs captured their everyday experiences in the street, volunteering in detention centers, or just having fun with friends. Since the early 2000s, 116 (formerly the 116 Clique) is an embodiment and display of Romans 1:16: “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation.” With artists such as Trip Lee, Andy Mineo, Derek Minor, KB, Wande and many more repping the banner of the Unashamed throughout the years, today 116 continues to display be the movement of believers unashamed of the Gospel.
