Zarek is a full-time freelance musician in both solo and ensemble contexts as well as Studio, Composition, Performance and Music Education. 

Zarek’s unique playing and adaptability comes from his nontraditional approach to music and guitar. His musical versatility and curiosity has brought Zarek to work in styles of Solo Guitar, Gypsy Jazz, Dixieland, Fingerstyle and traditional Jazz. While Zarek’s musical expression is primarily instrumental his musical dexterity makes the strings sing, giving the guitar its very own voice. ‘Home’ is Zarek Silberschmidt’s first E.P. The instrumental 6 track CD is a collection of arrangements and original content with a mix of influences Gospel, Fingerpicking and Country Western, remnant of Tommy Emmanuel. Each song is striped down to a single layer, like the bass line or percussive feel then pieced together into a solo guitar arrangement. Every piece is a sonic representation of an experience or situation that has inspired Zarek to continue on the path of music and the guitar. Recorded, mixed and mastered by sound engineer Harald Wesley at ‘LEICO Studios’ in Germany, designed by ‘James Fitzegerald' in New Zealand and composed/arranged all through out Australasia and Europe ‘Home’ has impressions from around the world.
