For some years Cormac was one of dance musics' best-kept secrets. With a rapidly growing reputation as a revered selector, The Queer Northern Ireland-born DJ is setting a course for dancefloors the world over with his sound that comprises the breadth of the house, Italo, and techno spectrum. Cormac was a regular listener and dancer at zeitgeist defining London institutions such as Trade, Nag Nag Nag, and Bugged Out. In Berlin and Europe, he's best known for his legendary closing performances at Panorama Bar and Snax. Often running up to ten hours in length, and with free reign to play across the board sonically, Cormac has fast become a staple on the line-ups for the club. As the light pours in on Monday mornings, the crowd are kept moving with a selection of records layered with Cormac’s infectious personality. Releases on Correspondent Records, Ostgut-Ton, and his own imprint Polari Records, The label showcases producers that Cormac plays in his sets, and each 12” features artwork from LGBTQ+ artists. A highlight on the essential mix on Sept 4th is the debut of Cormacs solo outing On Polari, “Heartcore” which becomes available on Spotify, Bandcamp, and all usual digital outlets tonight as the mix goes live. Elsewhere the mix showcases exclusive non-released material from Gerd Janson, Kink, Kiwi, Volta, Alan Dixon, and Jordan Nocturne, alongside “Essential” tracks from Cormacs 20 years of DJ’ing.
