Based in the United States, "The Black Atlantics" are the upcoming pioneers in Modern Highlife music. 
 Based on the teachings of Historian Paul Gilroy, The Black Atlantic showcases the existence of a distinct black culture that incorporates elements from African, American, British, and Caribbean cultures. 
 The compositions of this collective uniquely morphs the styles of Afrobeat, Rock, Funk and Highlife to create their Self-coined “Django” sound.
