Morojuoluwa Oke , popularly known as J'ray, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. J'ray was born in Lagos, Nigeria where he began music at a very young age, though didn't officially drop his first single until 2017 when he briefly dropped out of school. J'ray is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas Tech University where he obtained a degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics. J'ray's rise to stardom began in 2018 after he dropped a single "Spotlight" produced by one of Africa's biggest producers, Kiddominant, leading to him signing a record deal with Atlanta Based Record Label, Governor's Media Group which shot the video for "Spotlight". In the summer of 2019, J'ray collaborated with rapper SPJuice and producer Marphy Jay to put out a body of work "High Notes the EP" of which "High Notes" was the top song from the EP. Other songs on the EP include "Tonight", "Bottles On me", "Roll For Me", and "Down Below" which were also very well written and well received. J'ray and Governors Media Group amicably parted, with J'ray dropping his first post-Governors Media Group single "Rock Bottom" in the early weeks of June, 2020. In September 2021, under his self owned label (J'ray WorldWide), J'ray released his own body of work "UnJ'Rayted" with songs "What I be On", "Dance", "Wake UP" and "Too Late". Dance has become J'ray's biggest song till date and it is set to attain new heights.
