Biography

The Dutch concert pianist Arielle Vernède was one of the laureates of the Robert Casadesus Competition in Cleveland. She also won a silver “Circle of Friends” award from the Friends of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Association and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Arielle regularly performed with orchestras and worked with conductors such as Lucas Vis, Heinz Wallberg and Kent Nagano. She performed in piano concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Bartok, Szymanowski, Noel Lee and Kees van Baaren. Her solo repertoire covers a large piano oeuvre from Bach to the 20th century composers. Today, recitals are central to her musical life. The public regards her choice of programs as well considered but also as surprising. Arielle has recorded CD’s with works by Debussy, Szymanowski, Schumann and Granados’ Goyescas. These recordings were very-well received by the general public.
