When she is not performing with The English Concert , Academy of Ancient Music , Florilegium or the Gabrieli ,Polish-British violinist Ada is THE champion of new music for Baroque Violin. Ada’s on a mission to create atmospheric and original music that, with the use of period instruments, touches listeners’ souls and brings light and colour into their lives. To inspire composers and spread some positivity during the 2020 pandemic, Ada launched the first instalment of her annual composition competition (with Simon Standage on the jury). Forget Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, over 120 new pieces for period instruments have been created by composers from every corner of the globe!
