Shadow of Light fell in love with UK garage in '97. For years he was a DJ on Frontline F.M, an underground radio station in Wolverhampton. He had regular back to back shows on Saturday with DJ LX, and they were also blessed to have the big names like X5Dubs, DJ EJ, MC Kruga (aka Spitholic), and MC Bubbla join for some shows too. Old school phone's blowing up requesting for rewinds while they were representing UKG and jungle. Good old days. SoL had a hiatus from the scene when he moved from the midlands in the early noughties, but it wasn't the end of music for him. He started a band, The Queen's Minions, and released two EPs and played numerous live shows, a highlight being Manchester Academy. But as many bands do, they split and it left SoL with a massive gap in his soul, a lack of making music. In 2017 he decided to produce and go solo, and that's when Shadow of Light began. The first 3 years were honing his craft and finding his style, but by 2020 he found it. Expect skippy 2 step beats, bouncy bass lines, melodic keys and plenty of collabs (previous ones including: Redrum Music, Tee Total, Jack Light, Spitholic, Luna Ase, Charlie Sanderson, JMac, Odd Wall). Although he's over 7 years in on his journey, he believes it's just getting started, so it's a good time to join the ride x
