Reductio is a young new house producer and classical composer from the UK. He began DJing and producing simultaneously in July 2019. With his hand firmly in the worlds of both classical and electronic music, he recently established the brand Dionysian. Combining the concepts of Greek mythology and Nietzsche's philosophy, the Dionysian brand establishes a musical platform 'of many forms', releasing both electronic and classical music and offering multiple other services. Having studied classics at Cambridge concurrently with an organ scholarship, the idea of the hybrid of the contemporary and the classical was conceived. Matt began producing electronic music and DJing in venues around the city in his second year whilst simultaneously playing the organ and conducting the Charter Choir, and it is this unique combination which provided the paradoxical foundation for Dionysian. His music has been supported by Spinnin' Records and Showtek and has charted in Germany, Norway and Peru. His musical journey started at the age of 6 when he took up the piano. Urged on by his music teacher he began learning the organ at age 13, and from there he developed a taste for both classical and contemporary music, whether it was composing, listening or performing.
