Biography

Holder of a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Perugia (Italy) and three degrees in Classical Piano, Jazz and Music Pedagogy, Nicola Sergio has been performing since 2010 in European clubs, theaters and festivals as well as in Turkey and South Korea. He has collaborated with various musicians including Stéphane Kercecki, Fabrice Moreau, Joe Quitzke, Xavier Desandre Navarre, Arnaud Cuisinier, Thomas Savy, Jean Charles Richard, Francesco Bearzatti, Javier Girotto, Michel Rosen, Daniel Herdmann, Luc Isenmann, Mauro Gargano, Christophe Marguet and many others. He was artistic director for 4 years of Jazz Pour le Nepal, charity concerts organized by the association Partage dans le monde, inviting on the stage of Sunside, New Morning and Salle Gaveau renowned musicians of jazz, classical and world music. Hailed by international critics, he has received numerous awards for his albums, including Jazzit Awards 2010 (Italy) in the categories best international album (critics' award) and best Italian composer (audience award) with the album Symbols. Best Album Selection 2012 (Korea) for the album Illusions and Best Album Selection 2015 for Jazzthetic (Germany) for the album Migrants.
