At the heart of Lower Saxony’s small town ‘Hameln’ in Germany, came forth the groovy guitar riffs, impulsive drums, and piercing screams of the band Blind Passage. Ever since their time at middle school did the trio revolving around Omar Kalash (lead-guitar) and brothers Christian Schmidt (drums) and Matthias Schmidt (vocals) play music together. 2019 they officially formed the band ‘Blind Passage’ and started to write, produce and release their music as an independent band. They combined the dynamic sound variety of Groove-Metal, with NU-Metal's forceful wall of guitar sounds and the haunting atmosphere of Death-Metal. Lyrically, themes like inner conflicts and societal struggles are incorporated into the music via aggressive screams. 2020 marked the release of three singles from their self-titled debut album, which released in September 2021. The following year, the band was able to garner experience playing their own material and released another Single titled ‘The Human Contortion’. In the beginning of 2023, the band returned with their two single releases ‘Raining Heresy’ and ‘Shards’, as a lead up to the release of the EP titled ‘Exiles’ in August 2023, with bassist Lion Kolsch joining shortly after. In 2024, the group found their second guitarist with Robert Philippsen.
