It all started with an iPhone. Now, DWhit is taking the DMV by storm, offering a unique brand of rap that blends the lines between trap and R&B. 
 Born in Greensboro, North Carolina but raised in Maryland, DWhit’s childhood was filled with music. As a child, it was Michael Jackson that rang across the walls of his home, fostering a love of melodies that stuck. When he was an adolescent, it was Future, prompting DWhit to develop a love for menacing beats and autotune. 
 It’s this passion for the craft that led DWhit to start making music. He was only a ninth-grader at the time, recording his verses on an iPhone and uploading them straight to SoundCloud and Spinrilla. Even with little to no promotion, DWhit’s commitment to the grind was evident. And listeners took notice, eventually crowning him as one of the top young musicians to come out of his county. 
 That rise has only continued in the years since. DWhit’s music is enchanting, painting gritty images of love, lust, and life that speak to people across the DMVA. Although he’s still young, DWhit’s wisdom and commitment to the grind shine through with every release. His latest drop, Deep, showcases an artist coming into his own, speaking on a life that few have experienced but many can relate to.
