Native to Milwaukee, WI his sound cannot be boxed in by his peers or the city he derives from. “C-Steeles” born Marquis Brown Cole credits his love and passion for music to his older cousins. His musical aspirations took form after graduating high school. While meeting up with a few of his former classmates at a studio session they formed a group that would be known as the “Mil-Boyz”. They went on to release 2 mixtapes “Everybody’s a Rapper” and “The Death of Competition”. With his experience from the group and his drive increasing he decided to continue his musical hustle with dropping his own solo albums. “Certified Arrival” released in 2010 and “The Day the Earth Stood Steeles” released in 2011 via his website www.csteelesmusic.com . Between 2012-2018 he only released 1 single “Strip Tease” along with its video. He went on to release a slew of singles between 2019 and 2020. As well as 2 independent projects 2019’s “Milwaukee’s Own” Ep and 2020’s “Nothing is New All Over Again” album. In 2020 he founded his own independent Label “Made Gang Entertainment” with his cousin and business partner Tony Brown.
