Bolero has always found supporters, while the borinquen surfaced in Puerto Rico and the bachata in Dominican Republic, bossa nova was born in Brazil, but while some claimed their creative uniqueness, many others consider it actually a Brazilian bolero. The language difference did not prevent the emergence of great bolero performers as Altemar Dutra and Miltinho, but also those considered as pure exponents of bossa entered into the bolero, Joao Gilberto, Djavan, Caetano Veloso, Simone, Maria Bethania and even Roberto Carlos, have delighted us with their very own interpretations. Therefore, it must not surprise us that this production will collect a bunch of songs in bossa rhythm but bolero type or if you prefer, we will refer to some bossa-type boleros. Samba Melodiosa is the group responsible for bringing us these wonderful immortal boleros, under the spell of a better bossa nova - feeling, made in Brazil.
