http://soundofcannae.com • Classically trained musician/MC Sxvxnt (pronounced 'Savant', formerly Savant of RAREBREED) first made his footprint in the indie scene through densely structured lyricism and a fluid delivery, backed by an unrelenting classic boom bap sound. His affiliation with the tandem RAREBREED yielded his lone solo project, the lauded "Delayed Entry EP". His subsequent "Crash Course" leak series was marked by a wider ranging selection of sonic backdrops, showcased his growth as both an MC and songwriter, and provided glimpses of his abilities as a producer. The acclaimed CCLS also led to his first tour, powered by Brooklyn Bodega (now known as Bodega Agency), hosted by Behind The Scenes Network's Justin Hunte, and assisted by the likes of Rasheed Chappell, Mega Ran, John Public, and M.O.P.'s DJ-Uneek. Scattered singles thereafter, and glimmering vocal contributions on records with the likes of Kool G Rap, Papoose, Chappell, Louis Logic, Qwazaar, Dominique Larue and many more kept his profile simmering during a stretch wherein he took a step back from working on solo material in favor of focusing on incorporating his musicianship into production. His 2018 alignment with music imprint Sound Of Cannae set the stage for a return of sorts to hip hop's ever flourishing arena.
