Born and raised in the war-touched region of Artsakh and now based in Yerevan, Marbey has emerged as a dynamic force in the industry. Her artistic journey, deeply influenced by her mother's unfulfilled singing dreams, began in childhood and has flourished over the past two to three years with her foray into songwriting and diverse music styles. Initially drawn to jazz, she now experiments with electro-pop, and alternative genres, reflecting her ongoing search for her sound. Marbey's career is marked by her adaptability and passion for collaboration, often blending different musical styles to create something unique. Her first original song, “Is it You?,” showcases her ability to lift spirits, while her upcoming single, “Horovel,” is a tribute to her Armenian roots, blending traditional folk with modern electro-pop elements. Her music serves as a source of hope and resilience, helping her and her audience find light in darker times. In her 14-year career, Marbey has become one of Armenia's most renowned jazz and electro-pop artists, performing internationally in countries like Russia, China, and the United States. She has received several awards, including ‘Best National Pop Singer’ at the 2017 Armenian National Music Awards. As a co-founder and ambassador of the Silk Note International Music Festival since 2019, she has significantly contributed to the Armenian music scene, bringing international musicians to the forefront.
