Tom Terrien is a pianist producer , living near Toulouse, where he plays a music at the crossroads of electronics, pop and jazz, using his favorite instruments (Wurlitzer, piano, modular systems, analog synthesizers, laptop ) as well as his improvisational skills, giving a special attention to experimentation and melody. He is at the origin of many projects such as the jazz-electronic duet Minimal Orchestra (accompanied by his friend Pierre-Jean Trouette, former bassist of the Interface combo), or more recently the Terrien Trio (formed with drummer Jean- Denis Rivaleau, having collaborated with great jazzmen such as Richard Bona, or Ernie Watts). His solo project Tom Terrien represents the quintessence of his musical vision, a kind of intimate invitation to travel amongst his melodic and sonic fantasies, project that he has been chiselling for almost 8 years now his studio, which we can discover through his numerous releases on the Plug Research label since 2014.
