Coming from the depths of hell (actually Southern California, United States), DarkMageX has been haunting the dubstep scene with hard-hitting dubstep and spooky elements since 2019. Known in the community as VTuber personality Ayane Kurayami, she is unleashing her dark side through music, telling dark stories in ways no one has ever imagined. Inspired by some of the best in the dubstep scene, she is yet another excellent addition to the genre, creating twisted sounds made to fit the songs she makes. While her musical talent dates back to when she was in 6th grade, she started getting serious about it in November 2019 with the release of her first single, Necrosis. Shortly after its release, it gained massive attention from listeners and producers alike, with many big and underground producers claiming it to be an exceptional first track. Since then, her music has continued to evolve and catch the attention of many. In October 2020, DarkMageX released her single Inferos, marking the start of her journey into the realm of tearout dubstep. She also makes deathstep, minatory, riddim dubstep, and emotional future bass. After the release of her debut EP, Pandora, DarkMageX found her passion in sound design and music production, and with it came a desire to further experiment with other genres while still keeping that tearout style. She plans to pursue sound design as a career and aspires to become a sound designer for the movie and video game industries.
