Sharny was heavily influenced by musicals and school productions to pursue singing at an early age. Artists such as Keshi and Beabadoobee then took her inspiration further to become a vocalist. After years of honing her craft and singing as a ukulele and vocalist duo with her sister, Sharny launched her solo career and released her debut single Once More in 2022. The single received critical acclaim and streamed on Triple J’s unearthed within a month of release. Her debut showcased Sharny’s unique style and musical prowess. Sharny has supported many artists on stage, performing with Regina Song, YURA and Mizuki. With a growing fan base and recognition from TikTok supporters, Sharny went on to created her own self induced festival, Sharnival, before she turned 18. Her music has been described as R&B pop, with a blend of bedroom pop, folk and indie rock that sets it apart from other artists in the genre.
