Michael de Jager is a South African born guitarist from surf city Durban, he started playing guitar in the summer of 69 when his folks bought him a Gallo acoustic for his 11th birthday. Michael, now resident in the UK, is presently writing and recording material for his fourth album with his band, The Core Uk. His first album, Dragon Rose was released during lockdown 2020, followed by The Maiden Years which was recorded live in Bulgaria with former Iron Maiden guitarist, Dennis Stratton. The Core Uk - Let's Rock also released in lockdown 2020, is the third album in the trilogy and features a total of seventeen outstanding musicians from all over the world. The album took seven years to complete, a logistical nightmare but in the end, a fantastic album recorded at M2 Madhat studios in Wolverhampton.
