Coda Chrome landed into the musical universe mesmerized by pop songs eventually creating her own version of dreamy vocal electronic soundscapes from EDM to soul house with bass grooves. She is a first generation Canadian growing up in Montreal Canada of Hungarian heritage. Her mother was a concert pianist but Coda Chrome discovered Motown, psychedelic rock as a child bringing her into the realm rock, indie Brit pop. And that was it, music was her life. Coda Chrome is greatly inspired by iconic jazz singers and instrumentalists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday and Miles Davis. Classically trained, she graduated from Concordia university music being swept away by jazz riffs the saxophonists were playing late into the night. Coda Chrome tethers her love for music and filming inevitably landing into film world when she accidentally met iconic animation director Ryan Larkin on the streets of Montreal, producing and directing and score the soundtrack for animation films for Ryan and Co Hoedeman Coda Chrome loves to perform live and her early bands included her project Chiwawa. Her first album The Sick World of Yona was produced by Steve Whitfield (The Cure's main engineer Friday I'm in Love) and recorded her first album in Bristol UK sharing an amplifier with Massive Attack at a studio owned by Wayne Hussey of The Mission. Coda Chrome's latest music include her own originals as well as collaborations with producers soon to be released. Stay tuned.
